Volunteer Opportunities From: Special Olympics Southern California - Southern Counties

Volunteer Responsibilities:

Communicate fluently in American Sign Language (ASL).

Provide ASL interpretation during the Opening Ceremony to ensure full access and inclusion for athletes and attendees who are Deaf or hard of hearing.

Shift Starts at 2:00pm

Shift Responsibilities:

Assist with set-up of individual skills stations Using provided skills rating forms, monitor and rate athletes' performances through each skills event  Upon completion of skills, assist with break-down of stations and awards presentations

Shift Responsibilities:

*Disclaimer* Must be Certified in CPR and First Aid

Support the venue by providing basic first aid / Medical attention if applicable.

Volunteer Responsibilities:

Capture photos of athletes, coaches, volunteers during event. Will shoot during Opening Ceremony, the Competition  and Awards.

MUST HAVE OWN PHOTOGRAPHY EQUIPMENT. Ideal to have equipment suited for action photography in various lighting situations, including low-light areas. 

Upon completing your registration, an SOSC staff member will reach out to have two additional forms signed: Photo Release and In-Kind

Shift Responsibilities:

Assist with keeping track of golfers score.Walking the course with the athlete during the competition.

*Please be sure to wear comfortable shoes suitable for the golf course terrain. It may also get very hot, bring a hat with you.*
