Volunteer: Young Athletes Program (YAP) – Tichenor Clinic for Children
The Tichenor Clinic for Children is hosting another session of the Young Athletes Program (YAP) this summer, building on last year’s successful pilot. The program will serve 9 children over an 8-week session, supporting early motor skill development and inclusive play.
Program Details
Dates: June 29 – August 19 (Culmination Event) Days: Mondays & Wednesdays Time: 12:30 PM – 1:30 PM Location: Tichenor Clinic for Children, Long Beach Volunteer Needs
We are seeking 2–4 volunteers to support the program with: Setup and breakdown Assisting coaches and staff Engaging with participants during activities Volunteer Requirements
To participate, volunteers must:
Complete a Volunteer Application(https://acrobat.adobe.com/id/urn:aaid:sc:VA6C2:9f1a2109-d828-430b-aed3-4fcc11593b08) Complete Volunteer Questionnaire(https://acrobat.adobe.com/id/urn:aaid:sc:VA6C2:d0624c66-e9b0-469c-9d0c-91f51521dffd) Participate in an interview/tour Complete a fingerprint background check Provide proof of a negative TB test Submit a certificate of completion for California Mandated Reporter Training
